“Therapeutic Hypothermia: Where we’ve been and where we need to go”

Special Joint Rounds on Therapeutic Hypothermia: Perspectives from EM, Critical Care & Cardiology
Grand Rounds on Feb 4 will be a special joint presentation by Emergency Medicine, Critical Care and Cardiology on Therapeutic Hypothermia.  A review of the physiology of brain resuscitation and cooling will be followed by an exploration of the literature for Therapeutic Hypothermia, with emphasis on the most recent study to be published and what it means for how we approach cooling patients after cardiac arrest.  A panel discussion will follow, with an opportunity for the audience to ask questions and generate debate!

For those wanting to review the recent study (on "targeted temperature management), please find it here.
