The Mental Health Act: What Do EM Physicians Need to Know?

Grand Rounds on February18th will be a special presentation and panel discussion on the Mental Health Act (MHA) and Emergency Medicine. We are very pleased to have a special guest speaker from the Winnipeg Police Service for grand rounds. Staff Sergeant Jernej Anderlic will be presenting on the MHA forms seen most commonly in emergency medicine, as well as the role of police in the apprehension of patients under the MHA. This will be followed by a panel discussion and question period, with perspectives from Psychiatry, Winnipeg Police Service, and Emergency Medicine.
