Module: Confidentiality and Truth-telling - Core Content

In this module we will explore the ethical (and legal) basis for maintaining confidentiality within the physician-patient relationship as well as the important exceptions to this general rule. We will also explore how to manage the disclosure of information to patients and families in clinical situations where it may be difficult or challenging.
